The Visionary Development Committee

In the summer of 2021, the USLA Visionary Development Committee (VDC) was formed. UTeach student leaders from five UTeach sites comprised the 10-member committee that met biweekly from June to August. The VDC was organized into working groups that focused on developing the official USLA website, newsletter, social media accounts, and outreach strategies. Committee members assisted in the development of the USLA digital poster which was presented at the 2021 UTeach STEM Educators Association Conference. Lastly, bylaws were created by the VDC to provide USLA with a framework to operate from.

While many have gone on to graduate from their UTeach program and university, committee members are commemorated for their pivotal role in laying the foundation for USLA while they were still students. These remarkable leaders are recognized as the founders of USLA for their dedication to the development of the association.
